Arrival Kathmandu Airport
We will meet you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will meet your trekking guide and discuss the equipment needed for climbing and we will process the trekking permits. If you arrive at night we will have the same discussion on next morning after your breakfast.
Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and the valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day of sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley. You will visit the center of pilgrimage "Pashupatinath Temple" and "Swyambhunath", ancient and listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square take you to the ancient Nepalese culture. After our journey, you can explore the local areas, gullies and lifestyle.
Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m.) Trek to Chutanga (3,020m.) 3/4 Hours.
Early in the morning we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. This is a scenic mountain flight, taking about 30 minutes. With clear weather we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest, as we enter deep the gorge of Dudh Koshi valley. Today we will start trek of the time enjoying the Lukla valley see up hill to down and enjoying the panorama. A good trail leads through pasture to the edge of a diminishing forest of rhododendron and pine which clothes the steep hillsides. We will pass through a number of tiny hamlets before entering thick forest on the hillside below the Kalo Himal Ridge. The trial goes straight from Lukla for the first hour then slightly ascends up to Chutanga. We have to walk through the pristine of Rhododendron (National flower of Nepal) and pine. There are many streams with numerous places for the first camp. Over night at camp/or at local lodge.
Chutanga Trek to Zatrwa-La (4,531m.) 5/6 Hours.
You trek steep ascent path to cross chatara pass. From here you can enjoy the spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi Ri, Karyolang peak and many other mountains and peaks. Straight ahead and up through the rhododendron forests we may encounter wild animals if we are lucky for fine weather, the view across the Dudh Kosi towards Karyolung and the Lumding Himal and the scenery across the rolling foothills of the Hinku Valley are very impressive. Traversing to the right and finally descending steeply to Tuli Kharka (big pasture) we will reach chatara La for our night stay.
Chatara-La Trek to Kothe/Mosom Kharka (3,800m.) 5/6 Hours.
We pass forests of juniper, rhododendron and other local vegetation. Enjoy the views of Mera and the Hinku Valley also there is possibility of encountering with mountain wild animals like sloth bear, jungle cat, etc., among the tall pine trees. After having lunch in Thakthor then continue trek to kothe. This is a good place to camp and there are several teahouses around and you can visit and go and watch the local lifestyle in the remaining time.
Kothe Trek to Thagnak (4,356m.) 4/5 Hours.
Today we will be walking about 4 to 5 hours. We follow the west bank of the riverbed and through the valley to Tangnag (4,360m). The path is gradually ascending and we will have close up views of Kusum Kanguru peak and many more. On the way we have nice view of Mt. charpate and Mera La and a Buddhist Gomba in the lap of big rock. Thagnag is a summer grazing area with the simplest of lodges and shops starting to develop and we overnight in Thagnag.
Thangnak Trek to Khare (BC) (5,000m.) 3/4 Hours.
Today we can experience an excellent valley opening out views to the north of the Hinku Nup glacier and the line of peaks beyond. From Charpatti Tal the path descends slightly and crosses a sandy bowl to the steep stream that descends from Dig Kharka. The route continues slightly up towards Khare. From Khare, it is possible to do a glacier session to ensure that everyone is happy with the use of ropes and crampons.
Acclimatization day in Khare
Today is another acclimatization day for our high peak climbing of next days. The views of Mera from our breakfast table at Khare are particularly stunning. Stroll around and prepare for to attempt the peak. Over night at Camp.
Khare Trek to Mera High Camp (5,800m.) 6/7 Hours.
This is an exciting day as we climb onto the Mera Glacier and follow it to the pass. We have to march through steep route (about 2,60 meters) and it takes around 2 to 3 hours to reach Base Camp. The views make us speechless as we can enjoy the Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, Kusum Kanguru and many other mountains and peaks in panorama. Moreover we will trek high to High Camp. On the way see the nice view of Mera peak and glacier. From High Camp, if weather permits, we will have a panorama of Kanchenjunga far to the east. The camp is located at an excellent point from where you can have some great mountain views.
Today Weather days.
Today we will remain in the high camp to explore the incredible vistas of high camp. This is especially a weather day (most possibly) as it get changed frequently.
High camp-climb to Mera peak (6,400m.) back to Trek Khare 10/11 Hours. Hard Day.
This is probably the most important and toughest day in any mountaineering trip in this trip. It is usually necessary to rope up for much of the summit approach due to crevasse hazards along the route. As it starts to get light, we enjoy incredible views across to Baruntse (7,129m.), Chamlang (7,319m.) and Nau Lekh (6,360m.) with Mt Makalu (8,481m.) looming behind. After achieving the summit, you retrace your steps down to high camp. After taking pictures and enjoying the view, we descend by the same route back to our campsite at Khare for the night's rest. You will really find this day really long but inspirational one for your life! Overnight at Khare.
Trek back to Kothe 5/6 Hours.
Today we will hike for like 7 hours to reach Kothe. We descend firstly to Tagnag before continuing to Kothe. The night we enjoy with local wines and foods and relax at the camp and overnight.
Trek back to Thuli Kharka 4/5 Hours.
You will follow another new route back to Thuli kharka that stays high on the open hillside. It's nice walk through the red Rhododendron forest with beaten trail of Himalaya of Nepal. We observe the wide range of Mera peaks, Mera North, Mera Central, Mera South from Thuli Kharka.
Trek back Trek to Lukla (2,840m.) 6/7 Hours.
We cross the exciting Zatrwa La pass (4,600m) before descending steeply into the Dudh Kosi valley and to Lukla. We trek through forests of fir, rhododendron, oak, juniper and local vegetation. After crossing the pass we see beautiful view of Lukla valley Cho yu, Kongde peak, Numbur Himal, Kusum Khangru and so many others. Spend the last night of trek strolling around the Lukla valley.
Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Saying final goodbye to our porters, we will have a flight back to ktm of an exciting one hour. (It also can be a spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.) At the evening you can have your last night in Nepal enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show exchanging greetings among friends and with all Nepalese people. You can buy some souvenirs.
Weather day/ Free day in Kathmandu
Today you will have a free day in Kathmandu valley,( this is weather day also for Lukla flight as if weather get bad some time lukla flight may get canceled also.) Have some rest in your hotel. You can also take a leisurely stroll over the streets and buy some souvenirs and remembering from Nepal. At evening we will have a typical Nepali dinner accompanied with cultural shows in Hotel.
Today is free or last minute you have few hour special shopping for your relatives. We will drop you to the International airportto catch your flight back to your home and wish for your Safe journey.

Mera Peak (6,654m.) is the highest peak allowed for climbing in Nepal and also regarded as the one not demanding technical climbing. Mera peak climbing is progressively attracting trekkers and novice climbers to experience the feeling of hiking and climbing through snow and ice as well as trekking through isolated parts of the Khumbu region. The unspoiled and uninhabited Hinku valley below Mera peak is one of the wildest and most beautiful valleys in Nepal with its´ massive moraines, glacial lakes and stunning mountain views. Climbing Mera Peak is a rewarding experience as it provides glorious views of Kanchenjunga and Makalu to the east and Everest appearing over the massive south face of Nuptse and Lhotse to the north. Our turn begins with an scenic flight early in the morning offering fantastic views of the mountains. We walk through the pristine of Rhododendron, pine and crossing streams until we reach Chutanga. From the top of Zatrwa-La you can enjoy spectacular views of Numbur Himal, Kongdi RI, Karyolang peak and many other mountains. Following the beaten trail of our ascent, we retrace our journey back to Lukla Airport.
